  Fancy developed a problem with her eyelids so Dr Link did the cosmetic surgery and she was spayed. She now lives with the Borchardt family on a lake. Id'e say she is one happy dog. "I know that it has only been 2 days since we have purchased Fancy, but I must say, she is the best dog I have EVER seen!!  She is so well mannered, she is definitely laid back (which we love), she is always kissing the kids,and she is also doing really well, now, with being housebroken.  We were leery, at first, because of dogs we have purchased in the past, and they have not worked out at all!!  I never really became attached to them, because I really didn't like them from the start.  But...Fancy is just different.  I instantly became attached to her, and she is already just a joy to have as an addition to our family.  With the 3 kids, she is also great, and they can't get enough of her.  They kiss her good-night, kiss her good-morning, and can't stand to be without her, and I must admit, I even miss her already when I have to go away.  Thank you so very much for breeding such a great dog, so that we can have a wonderful addition to our family for many years to come.  I will certainly give your name out to anyone who is looking for a lab.  As a matter of fact, I already have!!!   Indy 1 yr, Aggie/Goose Update 10/12/04: I have one of Aggie and Goose's male puppies born on 6/19/03.  I just wanted to let you know how Indy's first hunting weekend went.  My dad cannot stop raving about how unbelievable he is!  I have been beyond pleased with Indy as a companion and member of the family, but this is the icing on the cake.  Indy retreived 84 ducks and 2 geese for my father in his first big weekend.  My brother, uncle, and father all could not stop talking about how ambitious, obedient, and duck crazy he is in the marsh.  My father has had 10 hunting dogs prior to Indy and he thinks Indy is the best one yet!  I cannot thank you enough for the opportunity to own such an extraordinary dog.  He is loved by everyone...especially me:)  Thanks again Laura

Hi Nancy,

Here's my most current pic of Sam, out of Roady and Allie.  He's about 2 1/2 yrs old now and is such a wonderful dog.  He just went on a hunting trip with my dad and retrieved 40 ducks!  They just went out for another week, so that will probably be another limit of ducks and pheasants.  My dad says he's an awesome hunter- has a very strong drive to flush and retrieve, loves water, and is so soft-mouthed.  He barely ruffles a feather.  At home, he sleeps in his crate, but every evening he lays on the couch with my dad and they watch TV.  During the day, he goes out regularly to fetch a tennis ball or his retrieving dummy.  His temperament is wonderful- - loves all people, but barks when someone unfamiliar comes to the house.  He's very quick to learn- he knows all kinds of tricks- roll over, turn around, shake, bark, jump.  It only takes but one training session to teach him something new.  Thank you for this lovely dog- he's everything we could have hoped for and more.

 Erin's Edge Lazy Charlie is absolutely the best dog we could have ever asked for and he is a perfect fit for our house. He has been in training classes since 10 weeks and is always eager to learn more. He has fantastic manners and behaves well in large groups and doesn't get distracted.  He is our no fear puppy, loves anyone and any dog that comes near him. The vet thinks he will be 75-80 pounds and he is tall. I don't think we could even call him a dog, he is more like a child and I'm not sure if he even realizes he is not human.He gives hugs and kisses and will cuddle at anytime.or anythiand any dog that comes near him.rks when someone unfamiliar comes to the house.  He's very quick to

He is such a sweet dog, we are loving having him as a part of our family! He loves to swim in the lake and is already an excellent retriever.

I wanted to send a photo to you of my female dog "Erins Edge Cracked Pepper" out of Candlewoods Rulin' The Roost/Erins Edge Iron Kate whelped 3/13/04. Pepper has been great since day one. She is great with my young children, kind and gentle. And when we get to the field she has great get up and go. Pepper retrieved her 1st duck at 7 months, and has made about 4 more after that. She has been good in the boat on cold mornings and can't wait for the guns to go off. Here is a picture at 7 months. All signs point to a great Gun Dog. Thanks!!

 Nancy- I wanted to send you an update on Bailey and to let you know that we have moved.  Bailey is doing wonderfully. He was from the Aggie/Goose litter born March 5th, 2002. He is the best companion that we have ever had!  He is extremely well-behaved and we have never had any problems with him at all.  The only training that he has had is puppy obedience training when he was young.  It is hard to believe that he is so good with so little training.  He is so well behaved that he can be walked off-leash and he remains right by our side.  He absolutely loves to play fetch but it is impossible to tire him out (even with the tennis ball launcher).  Since we have moved, he has gained a large back yard that is fenced in (which you can see in one of the pictures).  He never wants to come in.  He also has a parkway right across the street that he loves to play fetch in.  But by far, he is the biggest cuddle-bug and just loves to lay with his head on your lap to be petted.  He is the sweetest dog I have ever met even with the little kids!!!  As you can see, he is absolutely gorgeous and has a beautiful face.  I could not imagine my life without him.

This year, Bailey completed his first Al's Run and Walk for Children's Hospital.  He was the hit of the day as everyone was stopping to take pictures of him and pet him.  He was the only dog there that had his t-shirt on.  It was amazing to see the reaction and support of people.  The picture was taken just before the walk started with Jamie and Bailey.
